Are you in “back to school” organization mode? Or perhaps you purchased a new laptop or PC over the summer? Are you a recent Firefox browser convert? Or you’re a blooming browser toolbar or add-on addict?
If you answered ‘yes’ to any of the above questions, then maybe now is a good time to install RMU Libraries’ LibX Toolbar and try it out. It only takes a minute (I swear), and it may save you loads of time down the road, (especially all of you power-searchers out there …. Don’t want to switch back and forth between ProQuest and Academic Search Premier or ROBCAT? No problem …. Don’t want to have to even navigate to the Library web site to search a database or check to see if we have a journal? No problem ….. Don’t want to leave the web site you’re (i.e. Amazon) on to see if we own a particular book or bother with typing in the full title of the book? No problem …..).
Try it. You might like it. It’s free & easy (and it’s a quick uninstall if you hate it:) …).
NOTE: The LibX Toolbar for Internet Explorer is not currently operable with IE 8. If anyone gets it to work with Internet Explorer (either IE 7 or IE 8 — let me know). Right now it’s still “in testing.” The LibX Toolbar for the new version of Firefox should work perfectly. Thank you.
